What stays on your device
- Your reminder preferences.
- Your pause history, including the activity, urge level, and outcome you chose.
- Your access status and app settings.
This information remains in your browser storage until you delete individual pauses, clear this site’s browser data, or reset the browser.
Daily reminders
If you ask for a daily reminder, we store the chosen time, time zone, and a browser push subscription. The subscription is a technical address used to send the reminder to that browser. It is not used for advertising. You can update the time or turn reminders off in Settings.
Subscriptions and payments
PayPal processes subscription and payment details under its own privacy terms. PauseTen receives your subscriber name and email address, subscription identifier, subscription status, next billing date, amount, and currency. We use this information to confirm access, provide receipts and customer support, show renewal information, and process a cancellation you request. We do not receive or store your full card number or PayPal password.
Technical information
Our hosting, security, reminder, analytics, and payment providers may process standard technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, request time, and security logs. This helps deliver the site, prevent abuse, and keep the service reliable.
How information is used
- To provide the pause, payment access, and reminders you request.
- To protect PauseTen and troubleshoot problems.
- To meet legal, accounting, and fraud-prevention requirements.
We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Storage and international processing
Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes above, including security, payment records, and legal obligations. A reminder subscription is removed when you turn the reminder off, subject to short backup or security-log periods.
Your choices and rights
You can use the pause without creating an account. You can delete individual pauses, turn off reminders, or clear this site’s browser data. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to ask for access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information we hold. Email us and we will help.
Health and sensitive information
PauseTen is a wellbeing tool and not a medical service. Please do not send medical records or other sensitive details through email or support messages.
Children
PauseTen is designed for adults and is not directed to children under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
